biss

The fashion label "biss" emerged as an underwear brand in 2003-2007, founded
by Jutta Eberhard, Ane Loekken, and Ute Bausdendistel. Delicate textiles featured prints of insects and scientific texts detailing the sexual practices of goddess worshippers. These motifs created a striking juxtaposition with the materiality of the underwear and traditional market norms for lingerie. Surprisingly, the "provocative" approach was swiftly embraced by the market, generating substantial media interest. Consequently, the collection was showcased at prominent fashion events in Paris, Copenhagen, and Berlin.
